My art emerges from the intersection of memory, migration, and heritage. As someone who left the familiar comforts of my homeland to build a life in a new place, I am constantly negotiating my sense of identity and belonging. This negotiation fuels my creative process. Through each piece, I explore what it means to carry layers of history, family traditions, cultural celebrations, and shared memories while forging my own path in a foreign land.

The everyday textures, sounds, and images of both my native Mexico and my life in the United States have a profound influence on my practice. The warmth of home-cooked meals, the vibrancy of neighborhood festivities, the echoes of ancestral stories, and the music that accompanied my childhood all find their way into my work. I draw on these elements to create pieces that reflect both the joy of my current situation and the heritage that has shaped me.
In this way, my art becomes a bridge, connecting past and present, Mexico and America, heritage and personal evolution. It is a testament to the enduring legacy of the strong women in my family, whose resilience continues to guide me. By inviting viewers into my journey, I hope to spark conversations about the power of personal history, the complexities of immigration, and ultimately the beauty of transformation and self-discovery.
